The Air Jordan 22 (XX2 or XXII) PE - Denver Nuggets (White / Metallic Silver - University Blue - Taxi) were released on October 6, 2007, and retailed for $150. They feature a white, blue, and yellow color scheme, along with a side panel which feature the Denver logo across it, along with the citys skyline. Some of the most noticeable features include the shiny midsole and hardened heel counter. The midsole features a new and improved, color coded version of the IPS (Independent Podular Suspension) system, previously seen on other models.They allow the athlete to choose his cushioning for each pod with either a responsive, double stacked Zoom Air pod, or a shock absorbing encapsulated air. In addition to the custom fit cushioning the IPS provides, they also have a Phylon midsole to provide extra cushioning without adding extra weight. The heel counter keeps the heel and ankle sturdy, while doing everything possible to prevent any sort of sprain.
